Civil Courts Building, St. Louis MO, magnetite windows

Everyone recognizes the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, but when you look out of the Arch at downtown, you can’t help but notice the Civil Courts building.  This building was built in 1930 and has huge steel windows that were leaky and cold in the winter time.  Magnetite windows attached right to the frames and now the employees are comfortable and the noise from the city streets is reduced.
